Directions: Identify an activity that you do that is unique and interesting. Create a 3 -5 minute video that documents the activity.

  1. Identify a unique skill or ability. Examples may include karate, music, sports, art, or 4H.
  2. Write a multi paragraph story that describes each of the following questions.
  3. Answer who are you.
  4. Answer what you do that is unique.
  5. Answer where do you do this unique activity.
  6. Answer when does this activity take place.
  7. Answer why do you do this activity.
  8. Answer how do you do this unique activity.
  9. Use the story to create a story board that identifies the major scenes for the video.
  10. Identify how many scenes are needed per paragraph.
  11. Identify what text or audio is needed for each scene.
  12. Identify what video is needed for each scene.
  13. Include sound bites, video of the activity, and still photos.
  14. Include at least 5 scenes in the project.
  15. Create the video using Windows Movie Maker or another video editing suite.
  16. Save the final video file as a high quality .wmv file.
  17. Embed the video in the appropriate section of the portfolio. Usually hobbies.
  18. Plan to present the video to a larger audience such as a student news broadcast.
